1. Cutout fuse will decrease with the increase of temperature. This is because too high temperature will aggravate the dielectricization of resistance, which will lead to increased conductivity and decreased resistance.

2. Moisture absorption on the surface of insulation resistance or the formation of water film on the surface of porcelain insulation will also reduce insulation resistance. In addition, when the relative humidity is high, the insulation resistance will absorb more moisture, which will also increase conductivity and reduce insulation resistance.

3. Insulation resistance measurement is equivalent to applying a DC voltage to the insulation, that is, charging the measured body. After the measurement, the measured body should be fully discharged and the discharge time should be greater than the charging time to avoid the charging current and absorption current obtained in repeated measurements being smaller than the previous measurement value due to the residual electricity not being fully discharged, thus creating the illusion that the absorption ratio is reduced and the insulation resistance value is increased.
