Circuit Breakers Can Be Divided Into Frame Type And Plastic Shell Type
Circuit breaker can indeed be divided into two main types: frame type and plastic case type.
1. Frame type circuit breaker (ACB)
Features: All parts are installed in a metal frame, with high breaking capacity and flexible protection functions.
Application: Suitable for main switch at power end, busbar contact switch, large motor control switch and other occasions.
2. Plastic case circuit breaker (MCCB)
Features: The main components are installed in a plastic shell, with compact structure and generally non-repairable.
Application: Suitable for branch circuit protection switch, which can have overload, short circuit, undervoltage, leakage and other protection functions.
The two types of circuit breakers differ in current capacity and applicable occasions. Frame type circuit breakers are usually used for large capacity circuits, while plastic case circuit breakers are used for small and medium capacity circuits.
