Selection Of Tension Clamps In Low Voltage Power Lines

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 7

The selection of Parallel Groove Clamp is mainly determined according to the different conditions of the power line conductors. In the construction of 10kV and below power lines, tension clamps are often used at the terminal poles, branch poles, tension poles, and corner poles of power lines. Commonly used tension clamps include bolt-type aluminum alloy tension clamps (NLL) and forgeable cast iron tension clamps (NLD).
When installing the tension clamps, we must tighten the screws evenly, and require that there is no increase in the stress of the conductor at the contact surface between the installed conductor and the original metal, so as to prevent the conductor from being damaged by breeze vibration or other conductor oscillations and ensure that the grip of the tension clamp on the conductor is not less than 95% of the conductor breaking force.
