Function of Fuse Link: Angle iron fixed horizontally on the top of the pole, with porcelain bottles on it, used to support overhead wires.
Crossarms are an important part of the pole tower. Their function is to install insulators and hardware to support conductors and lightning arresters, and keep them at a certain safety distance as required.
According to the purpose, they can be divided into: straight crossarms; corner crossarms; tension crossarms.
According to the material, they can be divided into: iron crossarms; porcelain crossarms; synthetic insulation crossarms.
Straight crossarms: only consider the vertical and horizontal loads of the conductor under normal conditions without disconnection;
Tension crossarms: In addition to bearing the vertical and horizontal loads of the conductor, they will also bear the tension difference of the conductor;
Corner crossarms: In addition to bearing the vertical and horizontal loads of the conductor, they will also bear the larger single-side conductor tension.
According to the force of the crossarm, a single crossarm is used for straight poles or corner poles below 15 degrees, while double crossarms are used for corner poles, tension poles, terminal poles, and branch poles with an angle of more than 15 degrees. (In some areas, poles use double cross arms)
The cross arms are generally installed 300mm from the top of the pole. The straight cross arms should be installed on the power receiving side, and the cross arms of corner poles, terminal poles, and branch poles should be installed on the wire pulling side.
