Where Is The Fuse Connected?

Fuse Link is usually connected to the live wire of the circuit. In household circuits, the common location of fuses is in the distribution box, which is generally located at the entrance of the house, in the corridor or in the basement. The function of the fuse is that when the current in the circuit is too large, it will generate more heat and automatically melt, thereby cutting off the circuit and protecting the electrical equipment and circuit from damage.

The location of the fuse may be different for different types of equipment:

Household circuit: The fuse is usually installed in the fuse holder in the distribution box.

Automotive circuit: The fuse box may be located in the engine compartment, under the steering wheel in the cab, in the glove box, or near the center console.

It should be noted that for safety reasons, only install fuses on the live wire. If fuses are installed on both the live wire and the neutral wire, when the circuit is overloaded, it is possible that the fuse on the neutral wire will melt while the fuse on the live wire will not. In this way, although the electrical appliances cannot work, they are still energized, which poses a safety hazard.
